Introducing Noir's Pitch Room: Mentorship That Meets Our Students Where They Are CALL FOR MENTORS!!!

Bringing the Power Back to the Community

This fall, Noir Culture is launching Noir's Pitch Room: a free, fully virtual mentorship program connecting Boston's teen entrepreneurs of color, ages 13 to 18, with real mentors. It runs October 2026 through June 2027, built around each student's schedule.

We're Looking for Mentors of Color

Before we get into how it works — we need you. Noir's Pitch Room is powered by mentors of color from across Massachusetts: entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and professionals across every field, ready to guide the next generation. If that's you, we want you in our mentor directory this fall.

Why We Built This

Our students are building real businesses and real futures. What they need next is real access, to people who've done it before, who can answer the hard questions, and who can push their ideas forward. Noir's Pitch Room is our answer to that need: consistent, one-on-one mentorship woven into the school year, led by mentors of color who reflect the community our students come from.

How It Works

Step 1: Sign Up. Any Boston teen of color, ages 13–18, can register for Noir's Pitch Room. All students must be registered before any meetings take place.

Step 2: Meet the Founder. Once registered, students meet one-on-one with Nia Simpson, Founder & CEO of Noir Culture, for 1 to 3 sessions to establish their business idea, its purpose, and their first steps forward.

Step 3: Meet the Mentors. From there, students are matched into our mentor directory; entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and professionals of color across every field, and can drop in for sessions all year long based on their mentor's availability.

How Students Book a Session

  1. Browse mentor profiles on the Noir Culture website to find the right fit for your industry and interests

  2. Click through to their booking link on their profile

  3. Pick a 30-minute or 1-hour slot that works for you

  4. Show up on Google Meet for the session

No back-and-forth, no waiting — just find a time and get on the calendar.

What to Expect in a Drop-In Session

These are informal, flexible check-ins, not a rigid curriculum. Go to your mentor for anything: building out your business idea, networking within their industry, or just getting advice when you need it. Sessions happen over Google Meet and run 30 minutes or an hour, all year long, on your mentor's schedule.

We're Looking for Mentors

Noir's Pitch Room only works with mentors willing to show up. We're building out our roster now for the October launch, and we need business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals of color from Massachusetts ready to give a student real guidance — a pitch review, a gut-check on a business plan, or just an honest conversation about what it takes to build something.

What it takes:

  • Set your own availability, you control your calendar

  • Meet with students virtually over Google Meet, 30 minutes or an hour at a time

  • No long-term contract, sessions run October 2026 through June 2027, at the pace you set

If you've got experience to share and an hour to spare, this is a direct way to invest in the next generation of teen entrepreneurs of color in Boston.
